It was a birthday party like no other, for a person who truly is unique and wonderful: My friend Lizzy celebrated her 70th with friends and family in the cozy interior of a private room at Ouisie’s with confetti, sparkle, and surprises. I was thrilled to be invited and to have the opportunity to do a few sketches for a painting of the occasion. It was a magical time, and I met very nice people. I can’t wait to work on the painting and see how I can infuse it with some of the magic of the occasion.
