I was halfway through painting this blue heron, inspired by a picture by James David McKenna, when I realized it is literally spearing the poor fish with its beak. That seems excessively violent!
It’s been a really fun day in my Society6 shop today, with lots of people ordering stuff. On the blog tour, today’s stop was an excerpt from Storms of Malhado, a description of Galveston.
