Today I tried a cold wax medium for my oil paints. I was trying to create more texture, but also a diffused kind of effect for the ship in the fog.
It was a good day in which I felt like I regained my balance a little. I did some writing in the morning, addressed some correspondence. Then I went to deliver art to my friends’ house. It was my first time there and it was wonderful indeed. Their collection consists mainly of small pieces, all carefully selected and curated over the years, collected from artists they have a close relationship with. A lot of the little pieces are mine, and it was so exciting seeing them again – little pieces of my personal history.
They even have Alexander Ross and his two friends – one of my all-time favorite paintings. It was definitely good to see Alexander Ross again.
