First things first: In case you missed me posting the first chapters of my upcoming novel yesterday, here they are. Tell me what you think! Are you excited about this one?
My day was sweet and kind of mellow. The weather was nice. I took a walk in the neighborhood with a friend. I wired some of the paintings for Barcelona, made some last minute decisions about what I want to bring, made an onion and blue cheese quiche, made five different TikToks. Y’all, I have to say, I’m really into it! I didn’t expect to love this platform but I really do. It’s fresh and extremely generous. The small business advice alone is priceless! And the videos in which small business owners share their trials and tribulations make me feel like I’ve really found my tribe. Also, obviously I’m looking to break into BookTok and I’m having fun making videos about my books.
It’s kind of crazy that we now have all this technology at our fingertips, that we can make and edit videos so easily. When I started my journey as an indie author, the options were quite limited, and now the sky’s the limit!
