I decided to paint Mardi Gras masks on some of the ghostly party girls on the bookmarks for the release copies of Galveston 1922 as it definitely seems fitting for this time of year. This is something I love in books: not just a sense of place, but also of season. The action takes place this time of year one hundred years ago so this is definitely the right time for the book to come out.
I’m getting a little closer in my meticulous editing, though it’s hard to stay focused for too long especially now that I’ve read the story so many times over. But I’m getting there! Watch out for the kindle version over the next few days, followed by the beautiful hardcover copies accompanied by bookmarks at the beginning of February.
