Today I mostly rested after last night’s excitement. I bought sushi and cherries and a few other nice things and I spent the day by myself relaxing, remembering my fun night, and mentally preparing for some of the other activities ahead, such as ArtWalk tomorrow when I’ll be signing books at G. Lee Gallery on the Strand while Matilda and my other paintings will be on display at A Grain of Sand on Postoffice Street. Also I’ve been thinking a lot about this talk I will be giving on Sunday at Mid Main Gallery. I’ve been invited to talk about reproductive rights as part of the Rock and Roll picnic organized by I’ll Have What She’s Having, benefiting the 1973 project. I’m so honored to get to do this – one of the rare moments when my former self the college professor gets to come back and add something to the work my current self is doing as an artist and writer.
