The wait is over! Lola Is Never Drinking Again is now available on Amazon. And although this is only a soft opening – with book signings and other launch festivities to follow throughout the summer – I am very happy the story is now out there, and wanted to celebrate. And what better place for that than the Island, where right now wildflowers are in full bloom and White Ibises are visiting. I even took a small dog (or maybe a dragon?) with me because she, too, needed an Island adventure. We took her to the dog park where there are no dogs (she hates dogs) but many birds. We took her to the salty place where the pelicans poop. We took her to see a replica of Magellan’s ship but she really didn’t care. On the drive back to Houston she snored loudly. She was probably dreaming of pelicans. Or maybe White Ibises.
