Today I painted this, inspired by a picture the League-Kempner House posted to show its Christmas decorations. I felt oddly emboldened by all the controversy online about my dislike of mud, and my general unsuitability to country life. I guess I’m a fake horse girl who deals in fake horses. Painted ones. Anyway, I had another nice day and a very long walk and am overall happy with all things. Especially my fake horses.
