This is one of the small paintings I created to celebrate the resease of Galveston 1922, my jazz age mystery featuring a charming but not very truthful ghost girl. The painting is 9×12 inches acrylic on wood, painted on a gold background that changes in different types of light. The body of the figure is created in intereference paint and occasionally shimmers blue. Her dress consists of dots of silver oil paint and is thus also refective, sometimes more visible, sometimes disappearing, just like the gost in the book.
