Today I painted this egret. It’s inspired by the imagery in Magic Lessons for Margo. The promotion is slowing down, as it usually does after that exciting first day, but things are still happening. Also, I’m hosting a few readers to celebrate the launch of the book tomorrow, and I still need to decide what portion of the book I want to read for them. Probably something to do with the bayou. Though I’m also partial to Margo’s childhood memories, as well as to the portions of the book written in Louise’s voice. In some ways those are my favorites. We’ll see. Part of me wishes I had already picked something. Then again, I have most of the day tomorrow to decide.
