Some Summer Fun

Advertisements

My friend invited me to lunch at Tiny Boxwoods, a super cute restaurant in Houston where one can actually enjoy one’s meal in a lovely garden. But except for Maceo’s I had not dined out in months and felt apprehensive. In the end, I woke up in a great mood and decided to go. Everyone wore masks (except while eating, obviously) and kept a respectful distance and my friend introduced me to a very inspiring friend of hers whom I liked a lot, and who gave me lots of good ideas for my new book. In the end, the outing was quite refreshing, and it felt safe. I guess even with Covid lurking in the background, we can still have a little bit of summer fun.

The crepe myrtles are blooming and this is my favorite time of year. The light is just glorious. And I’m feeling so very inspired!
