Have you heard about Winter Texans? They’re an interesting and adventurous bunch of people, and we have many things in common – other than our aversion to the cold. Today I got to go to the Galveston Island KOA and talk to some very nice people about my books, and about Galveston in general, as a source of inspiration, as a place to seek refuge from the cold or other undesirable situations, as a destination to explore, and as an island where people hope to find ghosts. It was a very nice day and it reminded me of my dream of living in an RV and the freedom this would entail.
