Bad Storm, Go Away!

Advertisements

Perhaps the only thing more anxiety-inducing than watching a tropical storm approach while stockpiling canned goods and water and batteries and other crap, is being away and watching the monster storm from a distance. Of course, I hope the hurricane in the Caribbean will leave my little Island alone. I figured it was wise to ask Mary to intervene, even from half a world away.

Meanwhile I’m being held hostage by heat in Bucharest, the beautiful city suddenly turned sleepy and a bit boring. I hate nothing more than staying home all day. Let me rephrase that: I really really passionately hate rest. I love my work above all else, and my work requires solitude, space, and going outside for inspiration.

I carved out a surface for myself by banishing two vacuum cleaners (one working, one broken) from my room where apparently all junk is stored. I made 5 bags of clothes and accessories I never use and took them downstairs where apparently the cleaning people take such items and happily repurpose them.

I tried to do some book promotion stuff. Apparently I’d let most of my Amazon ads die and that’s not a good idea. Because when book sales are down, my morale goes down too.

Still, I really really miss working all day and with gusto. Bad ugly stupid storm, please go away, so I can return home.
