In which I woke up to torrential rain in my condo in Houston, and I felt a little down – although the rain was beautiful. But then I had my coffee and made progress unpacking. I hung some art. I figured out where things might go. I unrolled the colorful rug I took from the castle. It all started looking more like a home, and by the time I had to get on the road to return to the Island, I almost didn’t want to leave. Of course, the Island waited for me with a beautiful sunset over a choppy Gulf, a mild breeze, and the moon partially hidden in the clouds. And I was happy to be here. That seems to be the theme right now. I want to be everywhere.
