Several things happened today that were quite wonderful. It started with a sunny jasmine-scented morning on my front porch. I made friends with a lady staying in the AirBnb next door. We talked about Galveston, houses, Island living, all kinds of things I love discussing. She came over, looked at my little house, looked at art, bought a copy of Storms of Malhado. That definitely set the tone for a nice day ahead.
Afterwards, I gave a walking tour to some wonderful people. And while on the street, someone recognized me. Someone who reads this blog! It’s nice to remember y’all are out there, that I don’t just send these posts into the void.
Later, my friend and I had lunch at Maceo’s. Palm Sunday is definitely a time when we think of Ronnie. Ryan made me a lovely shrimp po-boy. My friend gave me a palm frond. We walked around, saw the pelicans, stopped at Hendley Market. Then I went home to nap and paint.
