Today I started painting some of the wild tropical plants in my little yard. The day was warm, scented with jasmine. I got a bit upset at some of the same old stuff in the morning, then couldn’t shake it off. My friend and I went for a walk. We saw the Prestige Oysters truck drive by on the Seawall. We took it as an omen and went to get fresh delicious oysters. Afterwards, we had ice cream at Murdoch’s, which is just about one of my favorite things to do.
There are only ten days left in oyster season.
Tomorrow I’m having a book signing at the Then & Now Bookshop.
I’m starting to run into people at Kroger. Does that mean I’m becoming a local?
