Today I painted this disco ball and I added it to a selection of paintings I’ll be showcasing at the Then & Now Bookshop tomorrow, as my book signing coincides with Artoberfest. I already brought all my stuff over, since I figured in the morning logistics will be complicated by all the artists setting up. Lori, the owner of the bookshop, said I could bring more art. I asked if I could bring a large painting of horses and she said she would like that. So, my horses have been invited to Artoberfest and they enthusiastically RSVPD yes. I will be bringing the horses!
The grackles were very vocal this evening. All the artists were setting up their festival tents along Postoffice Street, and the grackles were whistling. It’s beginning to feel like fall – my favorite time of year in Galveston.
