I already knew yesterday that I had to paint a grackle. They’re one of my favorite birds. And the one sitting on Mary’s head made quite an impression on me. So I painted a grackle and made his feathers shine blue and green and purple.
Also, today I dropped off a painting I love to be included in a fundraising show benefiting the artists affected by the fire at Winter Street. The show is this Saturday and I hope to see some of you there. I’m happy to be able to do something to help.
And the little hummingbird I painted last week sold. It will be flying to its new home soon.
