The party is December 18. This quote from a Lana Del Rey song was all over TikTok today, and I took it as an invitation to have a very lovely day. The weather was perfect, the whole Island decked out for Christmas, the pelicans were having a ball (I guess their party is also December 18), and I got to spend time with two people I really like. I even went out in the evening, with my friend and her little dog. We walked around the pretty downtown, hung out at the Tremont House bar, and stayed out past our usual bedtime. We think the party was indeed very nice.
