The Story of this Blog

I started painting daily watercolors and blogging in the summer of 2013. It’s been my meditation every since, and, like my writing, my daily watercolors have evolved.

If you’re curious about how this all started, here’s a glimpe ay my very first post. My life has changed dramatically since I first embarked on this watercolor journey. In 2013 I was a lonely college professor using long weekends and summers off to escape a stifling small town. I am now a full-time artist, writer, and gallery owner living in Houston, TX. It’s the daily practice of painting and writing, carried out on this blog, that has helped me figure out how to live a more authentic life. You can go back and see my years of transformation on the early version of Have Watercolors Will Travel, on the Blogger platform.
