September 8th marks the anniversary of the Great Storm of 1900 here on Galveston Island. This tragic event has inspired many stories and fictional accounts, including the story of the two horses that survived by going upstairs in a mansion. This new painting by Elena Sandovici depicts these two storm survivor horses.
