Today I did some book promotion stuff for Storms of Malhado, probably my last big book promotion effort of the year. I don’t always know what I’m doing when it comes to these things and it often feels like shooting in the dark, but my goal overall is to get as many people as possible to learn about the book.
Also, I went to a party and I curated an interesting outfit – making a little bit of a mess.
It’s the end of a strange and complicated year and I’m feeling a bit unmoored. So many changes, so many projects still ahead. I’m trying to stay focused on my goals and not to get too overwhelmed, but it’s hard at times. Also, I really hate how one is supposed to take a break during the holidays. I don’t like taking breaks. Breaks are boring. But I’ll try to make some beans and greens for New Year’s, eat my grapes, make a list of everything I have to do, and somehow get on with it. This coming week I’m buying a circular saw and making stretcher bars for big canvases. That should help with a lot of things.

Your outfit was lovely!
