This is how it’s going: We’re having a cool evening on the Island. I sat on the porch looking at the stars until I got the slightest bit chilly, then I went back in.
I think I finally had a good idea for content for social media. I was thinking about the Island and how much it’s changed in the last few years. I was thinking of how different it used to be, a little grittier, a little more laid back. I was wondering what a good word would be to describe that, and I was thinking “salty.” So, I decided to make some content in which I show people Island things that are still salty, and even ask locals how we can keep the saltiness alive. I’ll keep you posted, but for now, my new salty videos are doing well.
I also got to feed a carrot to O’Malley the carriage horse. Well, by proxy. I brought him a carrot but Morgan, the carriage driver, fed him because I am (despite my great love for them), quite afraid of horses. Go figure.
And yet, Horse Week is coming up, and I’m so very excited!
