I’ve enjoyed the slow progress and am still loving it, but I do actually finish thr watercolors I leave lying around. Here’s one! it felt surreal standing in front of that house today after completing the painting, it was like I was seeing it with different eyes, like I knew it on a more intimate level.
The air has gone cool and it’s just a magical time to be on the Island. I bought an extra large blue sweatshirt from Mod that feels like wearing a big hug. In Breakaway Bridesmaid Beth buys one of their sweatshirt in an impulsive gesture, and as I was writing that scene I realized I wanted one too.
Tonight I went to an art opening downtown but I didn’t stay long. I sat on a bench on Postoffice and O’Malley the horse walked by, pulling the carriage. Both his mane and tail were braided. Morgan keeps him looking so cute!
My citrus tree is blooming, the dogs on the corner are barking, and I get to sit on my porch in my oversized sweatshirt and sniff the air. It’s been smelling very salty lately and I love it. Also, my hair smells like palo santo because I just burned some to clear the energy in the cottage. I’m about ti eat leftover pasta for dinner then go to bed early, and that suits me just fine.
