Today I finished the tiny oysters I started yesterday. The weather was beautiful, so my friend and I walked around. We discovered a cute new shop, and I bought a pair of jeans – which is quite an achievement because finding jeans that fit is nearly impossible. Then I drove back to Houston and met up with another friend. We went to a panel discussion on social media and digital marketing. It was interesting, but also funny. At some point one of the panelists said she avoids TikTok because it’s impossible to connect with people on there. My friend and I, who have actually met on TikTok and become friends in real life this past year, looked ar each other and laughed.
Oh, and I finally got to identify the little black birds that live in the palm trees by the pool at my condo. They’re Red-Vented Bulbuls. They’re very pretty and they make really lovely sounds. I’m quite fond of them.
Meanwhile, on TikTok, MudGate continues. Who knew all I needed to get engagement was a video mentioning mud.
