Today I remembered the advice I was given recently by Tanna Bennett, one of my favorite Houston artists, about using lavender oil for oil painting. I found the last few drops of a bottle of lavender oil I’d bought years ago, and before it ran out I realized that this is absolutely scrumptious and that I’m in love. My painting smells so wonderful! Me being me, of course, I kept painting even after the lavender oil was gone, but tomorrow I resolve to buy some more.
