Victorian Cottage

Today I painted a little Victorian cottage. There are a few of these left in the Heights, as Houston is constantly building new stuff. Sometimes I’m afraid they’ll all be bought up and torn down.

Me, I spent a quiet day at home in the company of gamblers and prostitutes. I’m 70,000 words into my new manuscript, another Victorian-era novel set in Galveston, and I’m reaching the part of the story where I just can’t stop writing.

Today’s review of Storms of Malhado on the blog tour is quite excellent. I feel like this blogger truly gets me! “Everything about Storms of Malhado is beautiful and filled with raw emotions, desires, mistakes, fear, and love.” Thank you, Ruthie Jones! This really made me happy today!
