Most of my day was taken up by preparing for a Sky Club Elite gallery visit in the evening – which was delightful – and a virtual painting install for La Luna y Yo, the large painting that made it safely to Boston last week – which was delightful as well. In between all the excitement, I found some time to spend with Yvonne, the protagonist on my new manuscript, a Galveston prostitute circa 1900. While the rough draft still needs a ton of work, I’m finding lots of phrases that I like. My favorite for today is the following: Nobody comes to a brothel seeking a true story.
I also had a little bit more fun with Canva playing with different looks for the cover of Miss Vulpe.
