Grandma in 1945

I have a picture of my grandma in 1945 (I think she was 23) and I’ve been wanting to paint it for a long time. It didn’t end up looking totally like her, but it’s a good start and was fun to do over Facebook Live.

Other highlights of the day: I continued editing Draft #3 of The Glory Days of Aimée Bonnard, I took a good nap with my little dog, and I made fresh butter biscuits to go with dinner. They’re so very good, and all the folding and refolding of the dough was very meditative. Maybe I want to try making croissants…

Meanwhile the updated cover (both ebook and paperback versions) of The Adventures of Miss Vulpe is live on Amazon and I couldn’t be more pleased with it.
