It’s snowing outside. It’s an abomination. I hope and pray our pipes don’t freeze. I wrapped the loquat tree in plastic, threw moving blankets over the sago palms, and garbage bags over the hibiscus. My little dog is warm, curled up under the blanket with me. I hope my neighbors who have chickens brought them inside. I hope everyone brings their animals inside and that they’re warm and cozy reading my books.
