Today John hosted his first painting party since the pandemic, and since it was for a collector I’m especially fond of, I asked if I could come help. I used to love helping at painting parties, and this is someone I very much wanted to see.
Y’all, it was so good! People talking and laughing, congregating in the hallway, drinking and eating just like the good old days! It felt alive and festive. Also, after so many months of events with masks and individually bagged snacks, there were food platters with delicious things on them! It was a very fun night, and I met some nice new people – even a fellow writer!
