Don’t you think our favorite cat needed an abstract expressionist portrait? Especially one painted outside over Facebook Live on a very hot day.
Heat and all, we had fun. I had some good news and received an unexpected gift. Two of my younger aunts came by, and I loved that one of them is very affectionate and warm with the old lizard, genuinely happy to see her and to interact with her. I made the aunts vodka tonics, which they drank outside in the heat.
After they left I painted the cat.
