Another hot day. Yet, taking advantage of the summer kitchen, my aunt cooked up a storm – a stew I love with sweet onions and peppers, which is great over polenta, a meatloaf of sorts, a roasted pepper salad.
Although we had so much food, I treated the aunts to pizza, which they love. The lizard ate hers with sugar. We drank beer and gave her some too, the sugar carefully stirred into it, totally dissolved. She loved it.
I’m reading a book I like. I also already got back some notes from my historical expert and from my friend in Amsterdam who read an early draft. In a way, after months when I felt like I was wading in mud, things seem to be happening fast now with this new book. And perhaps people will like it.
