Today I got back to making the Barcelona tiles. I did two over Instagram Live, which was a lot of fun. I’d really missed live painting! I now have 27 of the 100 tiles I’m planning to make. Which raises a lot of questions: Will I be able to finish all 100 by mid-October? Should I go to the art fair in Barcelona despite logistics being complicated?
The nice thing about painting is that it helps me focus and quiets my mind. No worries, no anxiety, no speculation. I get to concentrate on the process and truly be in the moment.
So live painting was good today. Also, I got frames so I can frame some of my paper pieces for the Galveston-themed show I’m having this month to celebrate the release of the audiobook for Storms of Malhado.
