Busy busy day. Kept 3 dogs fed, watered, and moderately entertained. My friend came and helped me get the front tire on the bicycle – with a little help from a friendly neighborhood bike shop. Now I only have to install the seat, which hopefully will be easy, but we’ll see.
Rescued a Monarch butterfly from a spiderweb in John’s yard. I got all the sticky pieces of web off its wings and the butterfly sat there for a while, dazed. I was worried it wouldn’t recover. But then it flew to a nearby flower, perched there for a while, fluttered its wings, then finally took off and flew far far away. Apologies to the spider, but I destroyed the rest of its web just in case.
