Today I drove to the West side of town to have my oil changed at the place I love best. And I took advantage of this opportunity to have lunch and chai at Café Layal, a Lebanese night spot that’s also open during the day. Lunch was very good, the chai was very good too, and I really enjoyed the way the patterns on the table reflected in shiny the tea pot. So obviously I had to paint this.
Sometimes I miss that part of Houston a lot. It’s so international and vibrant.
