This is the first line in Book 3 of the Miss Vulpe series. I got asked a lot of questions about Book 3 last night, and there are many things I don’t want to give away, but I’m excited to share this first sentence. I’m not the kind of writer who pours their heart and soul into concocting the perfect first sentence (the only book I did that for is Dogs with Bagels), but this one came to me easily and I quite like it. If you’ve read The Adventures of Miss Vulpe, you probably will be intrigued by it.
What else? It’s a full moon, and after last night’s excitement, the dog and I were really tired. The new flowers I planted keep blooming, and they make me really happy. The Rodeo started today, and even though I’ve no plans to go, I love how the city is abuzz with excitement. My friend and I went out for really yummy Chinese food at Ginger and Fork. I especially loved the curried noodles. I also liked that there were dragon decorations in the restaurant for the lunar new year. And I finally got to wear my new red dress I bought after Christmas.
