White Room

My photo transfer obsession continues. Today I transferred a picture from a magazine onto a large canvas, then proceeded to work on an abstract painting. I wasn’t planning on finishing it this fast, but I got really into it and couldn’t stop. At some point, I took a break, washed the paint and glue off my hands as best I could, put on a cute dress, and walked to my friend’s house where a musician was performing live on her porch. I picked up Holly and we danced. The musician performed White Room by Cream. I really like that song.

Then I returned home and continued obsessively working on the painting. I ate chicken salad and quesadillas for dinner – the kinds of things kids eat.

I wrote a bit in the evening. I’m getting ready to send Miss Vulpe Book 3 to my beta readers soon, hopefully this week. The part I was working on today actually goes nicely with my interest in photo transfer. It’s about identity, reinventing oneself, peeling back the layers – or perhaps adding new ones.
