Today I did some sketches of Bobby, to warm up for all the pet portraits I’ll be doing, but also because I need to get back to working on my new book about him – Bobby on the Boulevard. It would be fun to release this cute little book by Christmas!
I had a really nice day in Houston today. I had breakfast tacos with John, went to the art supply store, stopped by my friends’ place to pick up a TV they are gifting me for my AirBnb, went to a cool new gallery where my friend’s husband was having a pottery show, and finally got to unpack more of my moving boxes and find a few things I’d missed: my fragrance, my scented candles, my spices, and my herbal teas among other things. It’s funny how one’s home and the sense of comfort derived from it is made up of all these small and seemingly unimportant items. I promise to do a little more unpacking tomorrow.
