The Frog, the Shrimp, and the Horsie

I made a few more paintings for the $100 Box Show John will be hosting. Once I started I was on a roll, and I realized that what I’ve really been missing throughout this moving process, was the ability to really sit down and work – when this is what I do best and what I love best. I made a frog, a shrimp, and a horsie for the $100 Box Show. Normally I wouldn’t want to let go of such precious little paintings for such a low price, but I like the idea of spreading holiday cheer and making these affordable and enjoyable for people.

Also today, my friend helped me build a bed. I was agonizing over this task, but it ended up actually being pretty easy and the bed looks nice. I also set up the TV my friends gave me, and it works! Slowly, the little house is coming together. Things that seemed insurmountable, such as the bed or the back wall, actually aren’t. To celebrate, my friend and I went to have oysters. It was our first oyster outing, as the season started so late this year. But the oysters were very good. They were worth waiting for.
