Here’s a picture of my porch cat, because what I drew today is top secret. Obviously it’s a pet portrait, and even when I’m pretty sure the gift recipient would not come across my blog, I prefer to err on the side of discretion. In fact, I never share 90% or even more of the commissions I create.
Today was warm and beautiful. I drove back to Houston and took a long and very lovely walk. I love my new neighborhood and just how many places I can walk to!
I also keep thinking of the story of the girl wandering down the Strand and I keep writing. It makes me happy.
And tomorrow I get to bake some sweet potato cornbread to share with people I love.
