I painted this pirate in honor of the fact that I got to speak about my books at the Laftitte Society this evening. I gave him a little bit of a steampunk flair because I want to take him to Steampunk Festival this Saturday. Yes, there’s a lot going on, and I’m really working on meeting new people and getting my books out there. The Lafitte Society meeting was a lot of fun, and I felt like they were a good audience for my books. Even though, there’s only one pirate in all of my Galveston novels.
