Drove back to the Island. The little house was waiting for me nice and clean, with just a tiny scattering of sand on some of the old floorboards. I swept it up happily. I think the little house had fun and that occasionally old beach houses long for a little bit of sand carried in on children’s feet.
I went on the historic homes tour and got to visit an old brothel. Did it remind me of the house in The Glory Days of Aimée Bonnard? Absolutely!
Then my friend and I took a long beach walk. We got calf deep in the water so the full moon could do what the full moon is supposed to do.
It was a good day.
