I don’t always like birthdays. Or Christmas. Or Easter. Or any day really when expectations are high. I like having a lovely time on just a regular day. But this birthday was actually very good.
After a year of lots of changes, I feel like I’m finally starting to feel more balanced and things are falling into place. So I felt pretty good throughout the day. Then in the evening my friend took me out for an Indian feast followed by a few scrumptious bites of Middle Eastern sweets. It was the perfect Houston evening, delicious and worldly yet also very comfortable.
As to my sea turtle auction, it did well! All paintings sold except for one little porpoise which is sure to find a good home. I will tally up, report in more detail, invoice, donate, and make art pickup arrangements tomorrow. I’m excited!
