My friend left behind these lilies and now they’re dying. Tomorrow I’ll throw them away, but today I painted one of them, delighting in the fact that it was not as simple as I thought it would be. I also made more of my elderflower brew. I took a picture on my front porch with an alligator painting that’s been the subject of much discussion lately. I gave a walking tour. I had six people on the tour, which is large. Usually I have only two. There was even a child and she was smart and she asked lots of questions and was excited to hear about ghost children and ghost horses.
