Everyone is going back to school, but I’m not. It’s the first year in my post-academia life that I forgot to think about this as the going back to school date approached. No, I am not going back to school, like, ever again, thank you very much. Instead, I’m getting ready to publish my next book and then I’m going to Paris.
It’s common knowledge that nobody should even attempt going to Paris without a good trench coat. I’m sure one would be turned away at the airport, wouldn’t they? Luckily I have a friend who’s a choice purveyor of vintage fashion items, and today I went to see her at her little boutique – Oak and Sparrow. I am now the owner of a chic black trench coat, and thus worthy of Paris.
I also bought a brand new travel watercolor set. Next step? I want to secure some commissions for my trip! I want to paint watercolors of some of the things my collectors love best about Paris! I might even paint while wearing the trench coat. Wouldn’t that be exciting?
