Sneak peek at one of my paintings I’m preparing for some of my top readers, whom I’m going to have dinner with tomorrow evening to celebrate the upcoming release of Breakaway Bridesmaid. I’m excited but also kind of nervous. Same goes for my upcoming trip.
Anyway, today I felt kind of tired and my energy was all over the place. I did have a nice visit from a friend who’s also a collector this morning, and we looked at the 50 Artists book together and that made me excited and optimistic. Later, another friend I had made time for, hurt my feelings a little. I maybe got more upset than I should have, or maybe I should have gotten more upset and stomped off, who can tell? Time just seems really precious and there’s so much to do.
But now it’s evening and the sky is blushing and the cicadas have just kicked up the volume. Might be time for my evening walk. I’ve been making friends with a neighborhood outdoor cat named Tabby, and through her, I might be slowly befriending some of the neighbors. There’s someone who has a stunning painting one can see through the window on evening when their lights are on. Maybe I’ll get to meet that person eventually.
