Ok, so I had a sweet mellow day with lots of resting, some reading, some walking around the neighborhood, and copious amounts of eating. A friend came by in the morning and bought a Christmas ornament and some other gifts, and we got to visit. It was very nice.
In the evening I sat down and finished the first draft of Cassandra Brings Disaster, just like I’d planned. I realized this will be my 13th novel. Which is funny because a) I always thought the number 13 was lucky, and b) the book is about stuff having to do with fate and luck. Should I release it on a Friday the 13th? There is such a Friday coming up in November 2026, and a year might just be the amount of time I’ll need to refine this draft, so that is definitely a possibility.
