I’m back in Texas after a whole month away and it’s almost the Year of the Horse. Almost, but not quite. We still have some shedding to do in the final stretch of the Year of the Snake. For me, my lesson is emerging with clarity. I need to stay focused and patient. I need to work diligently towards my goals and not get these confused with the goals and priorities of others. I definitely want to play nicely with others, but keep my focus on my own pursuits, on my independence, artistic and otherwise. In other words, I need to be my own horse. A wild one, at that. A horse that runs free and enjoys doing its own thing.
Meanwhile, we have some catching up to do, so here are some recent watercolors that I really like.
