Prada Selfie and a Mountain Vista

Since today was the birthday of the friend who calls me Candela, and since he did commission one of my West Texas watercolors, I painted a mirror selfie at Prada Marfa just for him. Also, I thought he’d be amused to know that the first time I went to Prada Marfa I thought it was a real store, and that I’d get to try on and buy shoes.

Later, in my studio, I painted a mountain vista from the Fort Davis Scenic Loop. It turned out looser than my other West Texas paintings, and I like that. Although I have to say that I love all of them.

Other than that, my day was pretty mundane. I even got a bit restless at some point. I guess I haven’t really settled into a routine just yet, and I guess I’ve got to be patient. Not my forte, but I’ll keep trying. I’ll keep you posted!
